The Meat

A brand that cuts through the fat.

+ Project Story & Info
The Meat is a workshop put on Jibe, a marketing and advertisting agency, designed to help marketers cut through the fat and get to the meat of successful social media marketing.

We helped them develop this new workshop concept to replace a previous version that had plateued and wasn't delivering the results they wanted. Once they signed off on this daring idea we pitched them, we went hog-wild in the creation of a brand identity and event materials that could have easily been lifted right out of the local butcher shop.

There’s no mincing words here, we used every detail we could think of from the bloodiest of blue collar trades. Butcher’s paper in both white and blue, rubber stamps, twine, stickers, a starch white apron, and of course a good old meat texture. With just one color and a couple vintage images you’d think Alice’s Sam had just paid a visit.

Invitees receive a save-the-date butcher’s ticket and a mailer featuring a delightfully vintage depiction of backyard grilling, complete with high-waisted plaid shorts and tube socks. Best of all, workshop attendees receive a meat package complete with an apron and square-steak booklet bundled up in custom-designed butcher paper.

Our work increased worksop attendance by 10x and tripled new clients signed from each monthly workshop. They even signed 30 new clients in 8 weeks from just seeing the collateral, and not even attending the event.

During the workshop attendees used this prime cut of meat to delve into the subtleties of leveraging social media as a marketing tool to promote their product and service. Social media branding, content creation, responding, and lead generation are just a few of the juicy topics discussed throughout. A booklet meant to be a quirky keepsake and a viable tool ended up being a smash hit with workshoppers who chewed on and on about it.
